Senior Counsel

John Coselli is Senior Counsel at DiCecco Law Partners. He represents clients facing complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout Texas, as well as in arbitration.
John’s practice involves a broad range of civil matters, including breaches of contract, partnership disputes, breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, deceptive trade practices, and other issues affecting businesses and individuals. He has represented hospitality groups, automotive companies, physicians, healthcare companies, real estate companies, marketing agencies, software companies, construction contractors, equipment manufacturers, executives, and individuals.
In every case, John’s focus is to achieve the client’s objectives through strategic decision making, leveraged opportunity, and timely execution. John firmly believes in evaluating each case as a distinct challenge and working collaboratively with the client to set clear goals and make informed, actionable decisions. Although litigation is not always the appropriate path, John routinely represents clients in courts throughout the state where he is a proven advocate before judges and juries.
Prior to joining DiCecco Law Partners, John served as Senior Counsel in the Commercial Litigation practice group of a national law firm.
Representative Experience
- Filed suit against a Texas partnership for breach of contract and the fraudulent transfer of a multimillion dollar commercial real estate asset. Obtained tens of thousands of dollars in sanctions for the client and ultimately a favorable judgment and an order foreclosing lien. The judgment was later upheld on appeal.
- Filed suit against a corporation based in the United Arab Emirates for breach of a software licensing agreement.
- Represented an advertising agency in an action for breach of a service contract.
- Represented a high-net-worth individual and multiple closely held companies in a lawsuit involving the breach of a private security contract.
- Successfully defended against an interlocutory appeal to Texas’ Fourteenth Court of Appeals filed by a California resident contesting personal jurisdiction in a lawsuit involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud.
- Presented oral argument to Texas’ Fourteenth Court of Appeals in the defense of an award for breach of contract obtained by an emergency room and related physician group. After argument, the award was Affirmed in full.
